Covid was a global crisis. This crisis shows the true colour of mankind. It was countries fighting other countries to get all the required resources for their people. It was a crisis where everyone suffered but few had the resources to recover and fight back. It was the rule, first help our country, our people and then other people and countries.
How the solution of keeping one human away from another human solved the problem. We have been seeing divide and rule. Was this not the start of the humans dominating using this divide and rule. We were not separated on religion but on greed.
We saw scavengers considering the human suffering as a opportunity to make money? The humans showed their true self. Profiting became the highlight and helpless people become targets. Injections were not sold, but increased the misery of the patients’ relatives. People who could not afford, took loans. It was not Covid wiping out the finances, but money mongers.
Rules were meant for the common man and were easily broken only by men in higher places. Public gathering, large events, everything could have been postponed. Was it more important than human life.
Trust in the government, medical companies, doctors was the only hope we had.
There were real life incidents which touched my heart during this period.
After unsuccessful attempts to arrange for injections in Pune. We had driven to Mumbai to get injections for my father in law. We had cops in Thane, who helped us locate medical stores for the Remdevsir injections. I really appreciated that gesture. He even expressed, to let him know, if he can help us in any other way.
Friends who formed whatsapp groups and dedicated called to help people get hospital beds, Oxygen, Injections, plasma.
A cab driver who did not charge covid patient to drop them to a hospital, without charges.
Community kitchens who provided food to the Covid patients in homoe quarantine, without charging.
These stories of real humans ensured we fought united and won against Covid. Lets learn the lessons from the Covid pandemic.
Long live humanity!!!
